I design and build custom websites for small businesses and independent practitioners — sites that are fast, findable on Google, and actually feel like you. No templates, no lock-in, no platform you can't leave.
All projects begin with a free 30-minute discovery call. Every engagement is scoped upfront as a flat fee — no hourly billing, no subscriptions. A 50% deposit is due at project start; the remainder on launch.

Purpose
This clause applies to all clients operating in industries subject to legal, regulatory, or compliance complexity at the federal, state, or local level. It defines the scope of my responsibilities as a web designer and clarifies what falls outside my area of practice.
Signing this clause is a condition of project kickoff for any client in a regulated industry. It protects both parties and ensures we begin the project with shared, accurate expectations.
Applies To
This clause applies to clients operating in the following industries, among others:
If you are unsure whether this clause applies to your organization, please raise it during your discovery call.
Scope of Services
As your web designer, I provide design, development, and digital presence services. My scope includes visual design, front-end development, site structure, content presentation, and third-party integrations as agreed in your project scope.
I do not provide legal advice, regulatory guidance, tax counsel, or compliance consulting of any kind. Nothing in our engagement or communications should be interpreted as such.
Payment Processors & Ecommerce
Standard Clause — Payment Processing
For clients in regulated or sensitive industries, payment processor selection requires independent legal and compliance review by your team and qualified counsel. I implement the payment solution your organization selects and approves — I do not advise on processor eligibility, terms of service compliance, banking relationships, or regulatory suitability. Processor termination, account freezes, or legal consequences arising from payment processor use are outside the scope of my services and responsibility.
This means: before I integrate any payment, donation, or ecommerce system into your site, your team is responsible for confirming that the chosen processor permits your specific use case under their terms of service, applicable state law, and federal law.
I will implement what you bring me. I will not select, vet, or recommend processors for regulated use cases.
Content & Messaging
You are responsible for ensuring that all content, claims, and messaging published on your site comply with applicable laws and regulations — including but not limited to health claims, financial disclosures, age restrictions, and required legal notices. I will flag obvious concerns as a courtesy, but content compliance review is your responsibility.
Mutual Understanding
By signing below, both parties confirm they have read and understood this clause, that the client accepts responsibility for legal and compliance matters within their industry, and that this clause forms part of the overall project agreement.
A note on working together: This clause exists to create clarity, not distance. I genuinely want to support organizations doing meaningful work — including those in emerging, complex, or unconventional spaces. This document simply ensures we both understand where my expertise ends and yours begins, so the project can move forward with integrity on both sides.
